Gone posted : That sounds like what goes on here in Niagara. In Fort Erie specifically they amalgamated three schools into one existing expanded school and expanded another one. On the Catholic side they merged two schools into one building. Out on the Ridgeway/Crystal Beach end of town they're merging two public schools into a brand new building. And they're merging our high school with the one out on the Ridgeway end of town into a brand new high school they're building on Garrison Road near Town Hall.

ARCs can be emotionally difficult, but I am a firm believer that they are necessary. Having said that, I have never lived in or ever heard of a community that has actively tried to stop new brand schools from being constructed. When it comes to how schools are handled in Fort Erie, I lay the blame squarely on residents who are completely fucked in their perceptions of what is reasonable. A lot of old senior citizens hanging on to old memories and perceptions at the expense of the needs of children today.
